Sing-a-ma-jigs Review :  They are cute. They are funny. And they make strange noises. Who are they ? They are The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs ! I received a The Sing-a-ma-jigs 4-Pack Set to try out and of course, my little girls gave me a hand for the review.

When I received the 4-pack set, my kids asked me “What is this ?”. I told them “They are The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs and it’s the Toy of the Year (The Sing-a-ma-jigs!™ by Mattel, Inc. received the coveted “Toy of the Year” title and was awarded Preschool Toy of the Year and Innovative Toy of the Year.  The awards program included 11 categories with 70 finalists.).

So, we started playing with them. How do we play with them ? It’s pretty simple.
To make them sing/talk/make noises, just press their bellies and their mouths will open at the same time just like they would be singing for real. You can then press their left hands to switch between the three modes (singing, chattering and harmonizing).

The fun thing about the Sing-A-Ma-Jigs is to play with more than one at the same time. When playing with only one, you can make it sing its own song and notes but when playing with more than one Sing-A-Ma-Jigs, you can create a great harmony.

Each Sing-A-Ma-Jig has its own look, color (Light Blue, Mint Green, Dark Purple, Hot Pink, etc..) and song (For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow, It’s Raining It’s Pouring, Clementine, A Tisket A Tasket, etc…).

They are well built and made of thick, soft fabric. On the other hand, I found it easy to peel the fabric around the mouth.

Two AA batteries are included, so your Sing-A-Ma-Jig will be working out-of-the-box. To replace them, you’ll just need to open the Velcro back and unscrew the plastic cover.

There’s no “OFF” button on the Sing-A-Ma-Jigs so there’s some chance to hear them sing during night if your kids decide to sleep with them.

My little girls found out they could insert a pacifier into their mouths and turn them into babies. They also like the fact you can remove their shirts and put them on an other Sing-A-Ma-Jig.
However, I have to admit, they loved them at first but the buzz didn’t last for a long time although they still play with them a couple of minutes every once in a while.

I would still LOVE LOVE LOVE To win one of these adorable little things! But not for me anymore. My home town Joplin MO was destroyed last night by a devastating tornado, many of my family and friends are now homeless. My first born Nephew recently had HIS first son, my Great-Nephew, and he brings out the “Sing-a-ma-jigs”
and everyone that’s over his house visiting with his son, has to play with them! The “Sing-a-ma-jigs” get passed around from one adult to the next so we ALL have a turn playing with them! We get to listen to the funny sounds they make and it’s great to watch the adults try to figure out just exactly what song they are singing andc each one is different. SO, all the adults have to hear EACH ONE!! They are alot of fun to entertain children and adults alike! Thanks Mattel!!! Love the “Sing-a-ma-jigs”!!!
