The person that I know who deserves a raise is my daughter. She is 28, single mother of 5 children, 7,4,2,1 and 2 month old. she has a full time job but taking care of 5 children alone is a big job. Most women her age usually give up on that kind of task but she manages to maintain to be a good mother. She gives her children the best she can and does not complain. I have rarely seen a young mother that strives as hard with no break and no excuses. she really wants the best for them and always searches for ways to give them the best things in life with the little she has. Even with all that on her plate she is always helping others around her and in the church and never does for herself. Not only do I think she deserves a raise but I know she needs one.

My husband, John Norton has been with the City Of Walhalla for 32 years. During those 32 years he has been passed over and over for any type of promotions. His boss to be exact has only been there a few years. He started off as a trashman riding on the back of the trucks and after 32 years he actually gets to drive on now.. We have raised three children on his income and now we are raising grandchildren. So yes I think MY HUSBAND DESERVES A RAISE!!!!!

My name is Sandra Carter, and I entered my son Anthony Christian into your contest,”EveryoneDerservesARaise. I’ve tried to put down the title of the story and retreive it by it’s name.
“The Best Nurse on Earth” and a note came up saying that it had not been posted because I did not return a form that was sent to me by e-mail. I don’t remember receiving the form. But I want to make sure that the story is posted. So if you could please e-mail me another form so I can give my consent or whatever you need to get it posted properly, I really would appreciate it. I really do believe that my son deserves a raise. Many people are going to vote for him. Thanks, Sandra Carter

My name is Maxine Meyer I have been out of work for a little over a year. I take care of my brother who became ill after serving his country. My parents have passed away. I have to upkeep our family house which my brother is living in.I really need a lot of repairs done to it but I can’t afford it. I work very hard searching for a job, in Martinsville Virginia. I would like to house veterans just like my brother in the family house. I don’t have the money to do so. I would like to do this in honor of my deceased Mother Lillie, and Father Mack Staples. They have always taken care of children in their home. Now I would like to take care of veterans. I am a veteran myself, and I know what it is like to have a need for help and it’s hard to get it. I would use the money to help veterans to become independant and to have selfesteen for themselves. It would be tools for them to know that someone cares for them for serving our great country. Thank-you Maxine Meyer

I think my mother Shirley Garrett, a mother of five children deserves a raise. She has raise her children and now she is assisting with helping with the grandchildren. She has been a employee of Wal-Mart for about six to seven years now. I think she deserves a raise because she is dependable and faithful and loyal to her job. In spite of the aches and pains she’s yet dedicated to her job. She makes it her business to come to work. She is a people person. She will and always do go the extra mile for anyone that needs her help or for those in need. Now days these are qualities hard to find. If anyone deserves a raise surely she does.
