I love my mom!

I have never known someone to be so selfless…
My mom had me when she was only 14 years old back in 1961. During those times, it was quite shameful to be pregnant at such a young age. She gave up her chance to go to college, the prom, homecoming dance to name just a few things, in order to be there for me. My mom has always been there for me.
When I make mistakes, errors in judgement, she doesn’t chastise me. She gives advice but accepts me exactly as I am. She always forgives; she doesn’t hold grudges.
We have been living together in Panamá for the past 5 years…it has been tough on her as things are completely different here than what we are accustomed to. However, she keeps on going, never complaining.
She has no retirement, no savings. Life is not easy for her right now. I take care of her which is the right thing to do for such a woman as she. It is difficult for her to accept help because she is so used to being the caregiver.
My mom sacrificed a lot for me and I would love to give her this vacation!

Good luck to all of the mom’s out there and Happy Mother’s Day!

I was blessed to have my Mother. I can remember as a little girl my Mother coming home in the rain from cleaning someone elses home to feed her hungry nine children. And no matter how tired she was she still had a smile for each and everyone of us. What ever it took she would do it to make sure we were well taken care of. No we didn’t have the things other children had but we had more love then we could consume. Although we were very poor, we always said we were rich when we were poor. Because our Mothere made us feel that way.

I however was my Mothers problem child. No matter how bad I acted she was there for me. No matter what I did that hurt her deeply she showed me the same Love. No matter how many times I ran away from home. For not just days but for months and years. Upon my return my Mother still had that unconditional Love for me. I lost her about 28 years ago. And I have turned my life around. I pray and ask for her fogiveness everyday of my life. And I know that I have it from her. I can feel it in my heart. I know because of the love that I feel everyday as if she is standing right here in front of me. When I make a mistake now I feel her here saying I still Lovve you unconditionally. My Mother was and still is my rock. I was blessed then and still am. Because I know that she is still here with me.

I love my mom,

To me she is the best mother that anyone could have. My parents got a divorce early in my childhood, and she just never gave up trying to make the best of things. Whenever I was young, she would always come into my room, and wake me up with the “You are my sunshine” song. It was always better than waking up to blinding lights. I would always want to go to “take your kid to work day” with her, and she would always find a way to spend time with me, even if she couldn’t take me.She is very special to me, and my brother. She always comes to my things, she came to my musical, and band rehersals. She has supported me, and whatever path I choose. I can never really lie to her, because she figures it out. Also, me and my mom are very close, and we can just hang out, even when we have a “girl-to-girl” talk. But I can always love her, and she knows Im not lying when I say it. I think she is a very suitable mother, and she is always nice to my friends. She has taken me to band concerts, and she has promised me ones in the future. She is the number one mom, and I think my friends think so too. I love her, and will continue to love her because she is my sunshine.
