ELIGIBILITY: Open and offered only to legal residents of the USA or Canada who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will have six (6) Entry Periods as follows:
- 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on July 23, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on July 25, 2014
- 12:00:01 a.m. ET on July 30, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 1, 2014
- 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 6, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 8, 2014
- 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 13, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 15, 2014
- 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 20, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 22, 2014
- 12:00:01 a.m. ET on August 27, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on August 29, 2014
HOW TO ENTER: Entrants who correctly answer the weekly multiple-choice trivia questions at http://www.tlc.com/tv-shows/who-do-you-think-you-are/star-sweeps-rules.htm will be given the option of entering the Sweepstakes by completing the resulting Sweepstakes registration form. Each completed Sweepstakes registration form will result in one (1) Sweepstakes entry. Limit one (1) entry per person per email address per Entry Period (Limit 6 total entries per person).
PRIZES: There will be one (1) Grand Prize and twelve (12) First Prizes awarded throughout the Sweepstakes Period.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip for two (2) people to the Winner’s ancestral homeland. The prize package includes two (2) roundtrip standard economy airfare tickets from a major commercial airport in the United States, near the Winner’s primary residence and to the destination location; accommodations for two (2) at a hotel (single room, double occupancy); $2,000 spending money; and forty (40) hours of Ancestry.com ProGenealogist research. The Grand Prize package has an Approximate Retail Value of $14,000, which will vary depending upon departure points, destination, seasonal airfare and hotel price fluctuations, etc.
Weekly First Prize information is as follows:
Should both of the First Prize Winners in a given Entry Period be U.S. residents, the first selected Winner will receive one (1) AncestryDNA Test and the second selected Winner will receive one (1) Ancestry World Explorer Membership. The AncestryDNA Test has an ARV of $99.00. The Ancestry World Explorer Membership has an ARV of $149.00.
Should both of the First Prize Winners in a given entry period be Canadian residents, the first selected Winner will receive one (1) Ancestry Canada Deluxe Annual Membership (either gift subscription or extension of an existing relationship; ARV $119.88 CAD), and the second selected Winner will receive one (1) Ancestry World Deluxe 3-Month Membership (either gift subscription or extension of an existing relationship; ARV $83.97 CAD).
Should there be one (1) U.S. First Prize Winner and one (1) Canadian First Prize Winner in a given Entry Period, the U.S. Winner will receive one (1) AncestryDNA Test and the Canadian Winner will receive one (1) Ancestry Canada Deluxe Annual Membership.
