BOOK IT TO TEXAS SWEEPSTAKES

Eligibility : The Book It To Texas Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are age 18 and older as of August 28, 2008.

Promotion Period : The Book It To Texas Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) runs from 12:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time (“CDT”), August 28, 2008 through 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time (“CDT”) October 3, 2008 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

Limit :  One entry per person/e-mail address per day only.

Prize (s):

Grand Prize One (1) – One (1) winner will receive a VIP Trip to the Texas Book Festival, October 30-November 3, 2008, to include roundtrip economy class airfare for two (2) from the major U.S. airport nearest the winner’s residence to Austin Bergstrom International Airport and rental car for 5 days courtesy of Travelocity, four (4) nights accommodation (double occupancy) at Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin for two guests for October 30-November 3, 2008, VIP escort to the Texas Book Festival, meal vouchers and attraction passes. If the winner of the Grand Prize lives within 100 miles of Austin, airline tickets will not be included in this prize package.

Second Prize One (1) – One (1) winner will receive an Fort Worth Arts & Culture Tour to include roundtrip airfare for two (2) from the major U.S. airport nearest the winner’s residence to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and rental car for 4 days courtesy of Travelocity, 3 nights accommodation (double occupancy) in a suite at the new Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa, a $100 gift certificate to the Spa Beaubelle at the Sheraton, meal certificates and attraction passes. If the winner of the Second Prize lives within 100 miles of Fort Worth, airline tickets will not be included in this prize package. This trip is valid between October 31, 2008 and August 31, 2009, and is subject to availability and not available during holidays. Blackout dates and other travel restrictions may apply. No extensions will be granted.

FOR THE GRAND PRIZE AND SECOND PRIZE, trip and travel insurance is not included; all state and local government surcharges, airport fees, and all taxes (sales, income, airport, value-added and other), gratuities, incidental expenses, additional meals, licenses, registrations, port charges, telephone calls, fees or charges for changing dates, travel insurance premiums, transportation and other costs and expenses relating to Sweepstakes and use or acceptance of these prizes are the sole responsibility of each winner; if winner’s companion is a minor, winner must be minor’s parent or legal guardian. Value of airline tickets cannot exceed $500 per ticket. Airline will be designated by Travelocity based on availability at time of booking. Air tickets require minimum 21 days advance booking.

Third Prize One (1) – One (1) winner will receive a VIP gift package from Barnes & Noble and BN.com containing a selection of top selling books, CDs and DVDs and a Barnes & Noble gift card. Prizes will be awarded provided at least one eligible entry is received. Sponsors may substitute prize for one of equal or greater value.

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize is $5,500.00 (If winner of Grand Prize lives within 100 miles of Austin, the ARV will be $4,500); Second Prize is $3,500.00 (if winner of the Second Prize lives within 100 miles of Fort Worth, the ARV will be $2,500); and Third Prize is $500. Prizes cannot be substituted for cash.
