Z-Curve Bow & a Zing-Shot Launcher Review : When I was young (about 20 years ago…), I used to play outside as often as I could. I used to play with all kinds of toys but bows and sling-shots were among my favorite ones so when I received the Z-Curve Bow and the Zing-Shot Launcher from Zing Toys, I was really happy. It was time to go back in time, play outside and have fun ! This is what I did.

The Z-Curve Bow has nothing to do with the bows we built back in time using tree branches and ropes. We are talking about a “modern” bow. The set includes a Z-Curve Bow, one stick-anywhere ZARTZ SOFTEK foam arrow, two long-range Red-X ammo arrows, and Zip-Clip holder. They say it’s the ultimate foam bow & arrow combo and I agree ! To be honest, I had some doubts at first. After all, it’s made of plastic and foam. I was wrong. It is strong, well built and easy to use. Did I mentioned it’s fun ? It is ! I’ve been playing with it for several days now and I’ve been enjoying it as well. They say the arrows can fly over 125 feet. I did not calculated the distance but I’m pretty sure it’s true. It took only one arrow to impress me. Seriously, it’s really impressive to see how far these arrows can fly. I also had a lot of fun with the ZARTZ SOFTEK foam arrow. This one stick anywhere ! Don’t worry, it’s made of foam so it won’t break anything. I tried it on walls and windows without any problems. The Zip-Clip holder is also a nice addition to the set as it helps to carry the arrows and have your hands free to play with the bow.

The Zing-Shot Launcher is also different from the one with built with Y shaped tree branches. The main difference comes from the Quik-Zip load system. I found it was a great idea. It’s easier than regular slingshot to install the ball and it also help to fire the ball precisely. They say the balls can fly up to 45 feet and once again it appears to be true. Set includes one Zing-Shot Launcher and three Red-X ammo soft-foam balls. It could be great if the set could have something similar to the Zip-Clip (included with the Z-Curve Bow) to hold the balls.

You can buy both sets for $29,98 which is a great price as your kids will have fun all summer long. I wish there were such toys 20 years ago but it’s never too late to have fun. Even when we are 30 years old…
