AUTOSEAL West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug Review : I work about 8hrs a day in my home office, I drink a LOT of water while working and I like when my water is cold. I tried several water bottles and none of them was perfect. They either kept my water cold for only 1 hour and/or  produced external condensation which results in water drops on my desk. I never thought about using a travel mug before because those mugs are usually used to drink hot coffee on the road. Then, Contigo offered me to try out the AUTOSEAL West Loop Stainless Steel Travel Mug (Vacuum Insulated) – 16 oz. and I’m glad they did !

The West Loop Travel Mug from Contigo is 100% spill- and leak-proof because it uses exclusive AUTOSEAL technology to prevent accidental spills. Press the AUTOSEAL button to sip, and release the button to automatically seal. This is a great feature for those who drink coffee while driving. Who never spilled some coffee while rolling on a bump ?

The self-sealing lid technology is combined with a double-wall, vacuum-insulated, stainless steel mug, providing exceptional temperature retention. Contigo says that beverages stay hot for 4 hours or cold for 12 hours and they are right ! Of course, I had to test this ! I filled the travel mug with cold water before going to sleep and it was still cold when I woke up about 12 hours later. I also tested outside leaving it under the sun and the water still stays cold for hours ! I also noticed that the mug does not produce external condensation. No more water drops on my desk ! Same with hot coffee. It stays hot for 4 hours and one thing I appreciated is the fact that the mug does not get hot when filled with hot beverages. You can still hold it without burning your hand.

The West Loop travel mug design is also really nice and they offer it in 5 color variations : Silver, Blue, Green, Black and Red.
I have the silver one and it looks great on my desk as it actually fit with my hardware (My compute is silver/grey and black with blue LED lights) !
Even if the contoured body makes this travel mug easy to hold, I might have liked a rubber strip placed around the mug to help get a good grip.
