My granddaughter hates to wear her helmet. Shes nine years old and still cannot ride her bike well which embarasses her, but the reason she cant ride is because she doesnt try often enough because she absolutely hates the helmet we have. I agree it is a bit bulky and old fashioned but it was a hand me down. She saw your helmets and has been begging for one saying she could learn to ride better but while I would love to have her more physically active, however we cannot afford to buy her a helmet at this time, winning the helmet would be a wonderful surprise and the needed incentive to get her outside and moving, Plus she is quite creative which would give her a great place to display her artwork while learning to ride better. My niece (13yrs old) Had her 13th bday Saturday 5/25/13…She is super excited bc she got a skate board and she has really been head strong about becoming Talented and UNIQUE in this sport…. Yesterday her big sis and friends where at skate park, and pushed her to start for the first time ever….on A SMALL RAMP!!!WHICH ISNT THE BEST IDEA FOR A BEGINNER….BUT SHE DIDNT WANT TO LOOK UNCOOL I GUESS IN FRONT OF THE OLDER PEERS SOOO NATUARALLY SHE ATTEMPTS IT AND TOOK A HARD HIT ON THE CONCRETE WITH HER BACK!!! LUCKILY IT DID NOT BURST HER HEAD OPEN!! SO NOW HER PRIDE IS SOME WHAT HURT AND EMBARRASSED AND SHE IS HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS ABOUT THE SPORT NOW….BUT I WANT TO ENCOURAGE HER TO GET UP AND KEEP TRYING BC I KNOW SHE CAN DO IT!!!SO I AM HOPING TO WIN THIS COOL AWESOME HELMET FOR HER …ABBIE M…. KEEP UR HEAD UP BABY GIRL!! :)
