King Carousel Gumball Machine w/Stand Review : When I was a kid, I was dreaming of having a gumball machine. My daughters also love those machines and of course, they usually ask for a coin (or two) to get some candies when they seem them at the grocery store or the mall. Do I have to tell you how happy they were when we received this King Carousel Gumball Machine w/Stand at home ?
The King Carousel Gumball Machine w/Stand comes in a nice and colorful box and some assembly are required for the all-metal pedestal stand only. Basically, you only have to “put this in that” and screw some parts. It’s really simple and can be done in a matter of minutes.
The gumball machine has a real glass gumball machine globe, a cast metal gumball machine base, a lid, and a coin mechanism so this is not a toy, that’s the real thing !
The coin mechanism accepts any coins (quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies) and can also work without coins. Instructions for “free spin” are included and while the basic assembly is really easy, this part is a bit less easy.To convert it to “freeplay”, you’ll have to completely disassemble the gumball machine to access the coin mechanism. It will take you some extra minutes to do it but once it’s in “freeplay”, you’ll be able to enjoy all your candies for free !
The gumball machine features an anti-spill gumball chute door cover to prevent the candies to spill out of the machine. While it’s a good thing to have this (nobody want to pick their candies on the floor each time), I found the lift-top door made it a bit hard to get the candies from the chute because it does not lift high enough.
King Carousel Gumball Machine w/Stand dispenses small gumballs (.62″ or smaller), candy, or nuts. This model can holds 5 lbs. of gumballs. Unfortunately, those are not included so you’ll have to buy a Gumballs Refill Box to fill it.We filled it with several kinds of candies and found out it works better with hard candies. Softer candies such as gummies tend to stick in the dispensing wheel.
The King Carousel Gumball Machine w/Stand is definitely a great gift for both the young and young at heart!

If I win this King Carousel Gumball Machine w/ Stand and Gumball Refills from Gumballs.com, I would give it to my son. He has a small, cheap, plastic gumball dispenser now and uses it everyday.
