In an effort to broaden awareness about colic, a condition where otherwise healthy newborn babies cry for more than three hours a day, for three days a week, for more than three weeks in a row , Born Free®, the company that introduced the first BPA-free bottle, has officially declared March as Colic Awareness Month. The company, specializing in premium infant feeding products, has set up a microsite dedicated to the topic in order to act as a resource for families during this challenging time and educate parents about safer soothing techniques by offering advice from pediatricians, lactation consultants and real moms at http://www.newbornfree.com/colic-awareness. The company will also launch a pledge geared toward families and friends who are willing to help their loved ones who are dealing with colicky babies. To learn more about how you can help a mom with a colicky baby and take the pledge visit http://bit.ly/13qVX3c.

Born Free bottles are also many moms’ go-to bottles to help reduce colic symptoms. The unique ActiveFlow™ Venting Technology found in Born Free® bottles is clinically designed to reduce colic and gas.  And moms know that bottles are a key component, as noted by the 80% of moms with colicky babies surveyed who believe that bottles play a role in reducing the symptoms of colic.
