Chatman Review : Recently, I received a Chatman, a great gift idea for the holidays. As soon as I opened the box, my kids begged me to plug it as fast as possible. They were excited (they wanted to play with it) and I was curious (I saw the potential of the product) to see this small yellow character in action.
Chatman is a child’s smart and funny friend for everything they do online, providing safety, homework help, social skills and fun.
To get started, just plug Chatman into your computer with the built-in USB cable (no batteries or power cord required), download the software CD (some updates might be required too) , and log into www.mychatman.com with the provided access code. It’s that easy !
Once installed, you’ll find out that Chatman is extremely interactive as he can moves eyes, ears, and hands as well as talks using a built-in speakerphone and a unique LED mouth sync.
Your kids can chat with him and he’ll answer. He also understands and expresses emotions like a real friend. He can even help them with their homework !
In my opinion, the best feature about Chatman is that it’s safe. He listens to chat on social networks and chat softwares such as Facebook, Skype and MSN and makes a warning noise if inappropriate content (such as sex, drugs, and swearing) is written in chat. When you hear the noise, you can check what’s going on. Chatman also allows kids to perform safe web searches and alerts if improper searches are requested.
Chatman is a great tool as it won’t prevent your kids from doing stuff online or accessing popular websites like Facebook. It will rather act as a “spy” for you and will make sure your kids are not exposed to inappropriate content. Hey there! Thank you for this opportunity. To answer your question, I would LOVE to win a Chatman for the following reason(s):
1. Because I think ‘He’ is just SUPER-CUTE!
2. Because I think ‘He’ is SUPER-NIFTY!
3. Because I am recently (officially) disabled and spend MUCH time alone. It gets boring and well…lonely at times. So! To have some’thing’ there to entertain me, especially while online? Well! I just think THAT is SUPER-COOL and SUPER-FUN!
4. I LOOOVE little ‘gadgets’ like these. I think they are smart, the product, the eventer as well as the function of it.
5. Lastly, This Chatman will not only be a great and fun addition to what I want or need to do on a daily basis on my computer but would ALSO be something my 17yr old Daughter could enjoy as well!!
