National Geographic – Wildest Weather in the Solar System Contest

Eligibility : National Geographic – Wildest Weather in the Solar System Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry, who are teachers of students in grades K-8 in an educational facility (“School”) and who did not purchase any equipment for the purposes of entering this Contest.

Promotion Period : The Contest begins on October 15, 2010 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”), and ends on March 4, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).

Limit : Each participant may upload one (1) Submission per Team up to a maximum of fifty (50) Submissions during the Promotion Period.

Prize (s) :

TWO (2) GRAND PRIZES (one (1) per School). Each Grand Prize consists of: A Promethean Interactive White Board and The Wildest Weather in the Solar System Experience. Experience includes a visit to the winning teacher’s School by an Astronaut and a film executive from National Geographic’s Wildest Weather in the Solar System show for a one (1) hour assembly. Approximate Retail Value: $9,322 per grand prize

TWO (2) TEACHER PRIZES (One (1) per winning teacher from winning School): $500 worth of National Geographic books and giant screen films for the classroom. Titles of books and films to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. ARV: $500.
