I am a 53 year old happily married woman who has been living in our 50+ year old home now for 16 years.
Our kitchen is the original kitchen cabinets and it is due to be updated. My husband is a wonderful man and has many talents, but repair work and working with his hands is not one of them. I have wanted an updated kitchen for years but have yet to get one partly due to medical circumstances that were unforeseen. I have always enjoyed over the years reading your magazine and looking at your room makeovers and trying some of the fabulous recipes contained within. I would really appreciate your considering my family for a kitchen makeover and we would be very happy if we were the lucky family chosen.

Sincerely,
Cindy A Lackner

It would be wonderful to have a kitchen makeover as a prize but just reading your magazine is such a pleasure and I always find something that I can incorporate into my home. I moved to Texas in 2006 and have brought all my furniture with me and somehow it fits in this old house but the kitchen…………oh dear me it is a disaster. so hopefully……..from a truly needy South African

I recently aquired your magazine through Free Cycle in our area.I have enjoyed reading through the magazine, but knowing the reality of ever having a room or a kitchen looking like one from your magazine was unlikely. That is, until I got to p16 in the November 2010 Traditional Home! How fun it would to replace the Oak veeneer cabinets made famous in the 80’s.With limited cabinet and counter space, I store food and appliances in the cellar and every day my husband and I discuss the “clutter” in the kitchen(coffee pot, microwave, toaster oven and drainboard on the counters).

Did I mention the white linoleum floor? It is still in “ok” shape, but it’s WHITE!What were the previous owners thinking?!It requires that I wash it on my hands and knees once a week. With 6 year old twin boys, I should probably do it more often, BUT…..

The stove is original to the house built in 1986….functions, but the stovetop burners are crooked. The stove is black, the refrigerator and dishwasher are cream-colored- just a mismatched mess.

I would love someday to have the kitchen I could be proud of.We eat a family meal every night in the kitchen and we all know it is where most families spend most of their time together.I would love to have the home with the beautiful kitchen to share with family and friends—something I did not have growing up.
Thank you for the opportuniy to dream through your Kitchen Sweepstakes, Chris Mullaney

I have never had the money to buy the things I needed to fix my home up with.I allways was dealt with or came in last for everthing . Such has the last person to get a good reading part in school and you know you had the right stuff to do it .O r a job that was just perfect but soneone knew the boss and gave the job to a friend,It is like I have entered PCH sweepstakes for 36 years and never have won anything and yes I have bought some things even though you don,t have to buy.But your name soon does not get many entries if you don,t buy.So back to winning I never win anything so now I would like for once in my life see my house have a makeover because my husband is not well to do it and we cant afford it.So your saying lets drop this person because she need a lot of fixing up to do well what are sweepstakes for .Can you really count on any one today or can they really help you or hurt you. thankyou janice biermann

I’ve received Traditional Home magazine for all my years overseas. When it would come in I’d sit with a cup of coffee and feel like I was “home”. I love that the style of the magazine varies from casual decorating all the way to very elegant . It’s helped me to incorporate my many different pieces from various countries’ into a setting that evokes traditional living. Thanks for a wonderful subscription.

Hi,
Traditional Home is the only magazine I have kept receiving over the years. I love the great decorating tips and hope you would consider our home for your kitchen makeover. After 70 years living in Michigan and building our retirement home with a beautiful Kraftmaid kitchen we spent a winter in Arizona and loved the abundant sunshine that we get here. We bought a home in the very South, Green Valley and love living here. However my kitchen could use some help. Thanks for putting out such a great magazine!! I look forward to absorbing each one and keep my back issues because sometimes I’m looking to do something different so I can search for ideas. Thanks, Judy Green
